The Finance & General Purposes Committee is appointed at the AGM in May and sits for the following 12 months, although it does not meet in August. Meetings are on the second Tuesday of every month. The Committee can pass resolutions on anything that does not commit the Council to direct expenditure, and can authorise budgeted expenditure of up to £5,000. The Committee is also responsible for all staff payments.
Recommendations can be made on grant applications and the Parish response to any consultations, as well any expenditure beyond £5,000.
The Committee members, with their attendance at meetings since the AGM in May, are: Cllr Tidridge (Chair) (3 of 5 meetings), Cllr Parker-Jones (Vice Chair) (3), Cllrs Dean (4), Harris (5), Thornton (4), Toher (4) and Winstanley (4).
