This site is being provided to the Parish Council, along with a "community orchard" and the play area at Judges Gully Close, as part of the development known as Nine Acres. There have been significant delays in this process, which was expected to be completed several years ago.

The allotment and orchard part of the site has transferred to the Borough Council but a number of problems have been identified by the Parish Council that may prevent the site from ever being used for allotments. Soil quality, landscaping and fencing all need improving or replacing before the site could open, and standpipes would need to be installed across the site. These works would cost the Council tens of thousands of pounds and currently there is not sufficient justification for the cost to Bishopstoke residents.
It is possible that this may change in the future, but not likely.

We are currently not accepting any further applications for this site as there is no clear timeframe for it being passed to the Parish Council or being suitable as an allotment site.
