MEMORIAL HALL HOARDING
ART PROJECT

At Carnival this year, children (and adults!) were invited to design a duck or create a creature to possibly be included on the mural that is going onto the hoarding boards that are around the old Memorial Hall site. The designs were amazing! We also asked local groups and charities to design ducks for the mural. We received some great designs

The Hoarding Art Project started on Monday 11th August with a really good cleaning of the hoarding with sugar soap and sponge scrubbers. The mural, designed and painted by local artist Georgette Newton of Nap Trapped Art, then started to come to life. The colours are really vibrant and it looks great next to the Play Area at Glebe Meadow. The next big step is to paint on the ducks that have been designed by local children at the Carnival this year and local groups and charities. We will keep you updated with the progress.
