A message from the Chair, Cllr Toher
Bishopstoke has a fantastic community spirit, and in these difficult times we’ve often seen neighbour helping neighbour.
The Parish Council is pleased to play its part, and at its November meeting agreed to use its Covid emergency fund to help families with free school meal children at Stoke Park Infant and Junior schools over the Christmas period.
Following consultation with each school, those eligible received a Sainsburys voucher, and the supermarket chain also donated a bag of chocolate coins for each free school meal child.
Chair of the Parish Council, Sue Toher, and Clerk, David Wheal, delivered the vouchers and all important chocolate coins to each school for distribution.
We hope the vouchers will be of some help to those families who receive them.
Officers and Councillors would like to wish all Bishopstoke residents a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
